Warm-up Gun Systems
Designed to directly replace the original QC oil-fired warm-up gun on older
tangential-fired boilers, the CTL "Direct Ignition Warm-up Gun" system serves as
both ignitor and warm-up gun. This state-of-the-art system eliminates the need for old
pilot torch ignitors or the use of "manual" techniques for light-off by directly
igniting the fuel (either gas or oil) through a specially designed capacitive discharge
spark system. The PLC-based control package provides a simple operator interface for
start/stop and firing rate control and subsequent light-off of adjacent main burners is
instantaneous.
As proven in reliability tests, maintenance on these ignition warm-up gun systems is
near zero. CTL has many installations of warm-up gun systems throughout the country and
this remarkable design is now available for all sizes of the corner-fired QC-type warm-up
gun.
