Smokeless Ignitors
In response to problems typically
associated with original equipment ignitor performance (such as premature flame shutdown,
severe fuel waste and unacceptably high opacity), CTL has patented a highly unique ignitor
system that ensures instantaneous light-off, stable flames, complete combustion, and
smokeless operation.
Two primary features provide this superior performance: The first is a specially designed oil atomizer which ensures both an ideal droplet size and precise and consistent distribution patterns allowing for proper fuel/air mixtures. The second feature, and the key to a smokeless operation, is the flame stabilizer - designed to create an internal recirculation zone (IRZ) which is optimized for ignitor input, air flow, and atomizer spray pattern.
The combination of the CTL atomizer and flame stabilizer produces an ignitor system
with low opacity on cold startups, instantaneous light-off, and unsurpassed flame
stability. The exceptionally reliable performance of this ignitor is a field-proven ally
to cost savings and reduced boiler start-up time.
